A Look Behind Enemy Lines: Seattle Seahawks

The Seattle Seahawks have not had an ideal start to their season, with trips to the Super Bowl in back-to-back years you would expect a little panic from the 2-4 team. But, that hasn’t quite been the case. “Not anything to be concerned about on our end. I think we’re a hard team to rattle, a hard team to get down” said Seahawks corner Richard Sherman. These are the kind of moments that Sherman believes will help the team improve. Safety Earl Thomas added that “This is great, really. It’s a part of the story… These situations are not going to break us”. Seahawks running back Fred Jackson was involved in a single car accident. It was initially reported by TMZ that Jackson was drag racing teammate Marshawn Lynch, but local Renton police shot that claim down. Jackson did not suffer any injuries in the accident, but his car received some extensive damage. More news coming out of the backfield for Seattle with fullback Derick Colemen’s suspension being lifted. Coleman had been arrested for vehicular assault this past week. Head Coach Pete Carrol believed that the Seahawks are doing the right thing by bringing back Coleman, but it is still unknown if Coleman will suit up this Thursday. All-Pro middle linebacker Bobby Wagner is expected to return to action this week after missing last week’s game against Carolina. Wagner, 25, suffered a pectoral injury against Cincinnati, in which he initially brushed off as just a cramp. K.J. Wright will return to his usual weak-side linebacker spot after filling in for Wagner. In kicker news, Steven Hauschka is off to a hot start this year, having already nailed his first 14 field goal attempts. Hauschka says he tries not to look at numbers a whole lot, adding that “The goal really is just to go attack each kick. Each kick is important in itself and so you just try and go to hit that one the best you can…” Kickers are people too, you know.
