Breaking: 49ers extend WR Marquise Goodwin through 2021.

This morning, 49ers announce they have signed WR Marquise Goodwin to a 3-year, $20.3M extension, keeping him through the 2021 season. The contract includes $10M in guarantees.

Prior to the extension, Marquise was entering the final year of his 2 year contract, following a 56 reception, 962 yard season (both career highs), and 2 TD’s. He played all 16 games for San Francisco in 2017 and bloomed into an adequate receiver during Pierre Garcon’s absence and Jimmy Garoppolo's emergence.

Goodwin’s year did not come without some trials and tribulations, as he publicly dealt with the loss of his stillborn son and the death of his father. His most memorable play of 2017 came on an emotional 83-yard TD, in which he played just hours after losing his son. The score helped the 49ers get their first win of the season.

The 49ers Hub team would like to extend our congratulations to Marquise Goodwin and are happy to say he'll be a apart of our favorite team for 3
